Dow Jones Industrial Average Hits Record High

The Dow Jones Industrial Average recently closed at an all-time record high of 14,662.01. Analysts are now forecasting if it will hit 20,000.

I still remembered the time when the STI index was 3,800 almost nearing 4,000 in 2007. We know of course it then plummeted to 1600.

Markets rise, and fall. Falling, sometimes drastically. Who know what will happen next? When Myanmar is undergoing a phase of liberation and investors' money pours in, who knows if this will be sustained or retracted?

The good book reminds us where to pin our ultimate hope.

1 Timothy 6:17-19
As for the rich in this present age, charge them not to be haughty, nor to set their hopes on the uncertainty of riches, but on God, who richly provides us with everything to enjoy. They are to do good, to be rich in good works, to be generous and ready to share, thus storing up treasure for themselves as a good foundation for the future, so that they may take hold of that which is truly life.
